My role at convivo
convivo has been supporting Lekkerland customers in the field of private labels for more than 40 years – from the idea to the finished product. As brand experts, we are always close to the heart of consumers and we always know the latest trends. I joined convivo in 2009 and since 2014 I have headed up the Lekkerland Group subsidiary as managing director. I started at Lekkerland in 2008 as part of the international trainee programme. Over a total of 18 months I spent time in several departments and also spent time working abroad at Conway in Spain. Doing this allows you to thoroughly get to know all the areas of a company – it was a great start.
Meanwhile I moved from Cologne to Vienna, where convivo’s headquarters are located. convivo has grown steadily the whole time and has developed tremendously. Today our team comprises 11 people and, in addition to product development, we have considerable expertise in the management of successful brands. A perfect example of such a brand is the Take Off energy drink product range Take Off Energydrink – Produktrange. Take Off has been around for 20 years – and continues to enjoy growing popularity. Only recently we modernised the brand design and expanded the product selection.
My career path
I have not just been involved with brands from the convenience sector since I started at Lekkerland – they were part of my earliest childhood. My parents previously managed a kiosk and took me with them to confectionary trade fairs. For me as a child, this was of course a great experience – and clearly it had an impact on me. After school I decided to do my degree abroad and studied business administration with a focus on accounting and international management in Belgium. In my third year of working, my path already led me to Lekkerland.
What I value about convivo
What I particularly appreciate about my job are my colleagues and the great team I work with. We are all very down-to-earth and hands-on. In my free time I am drawn to the mountains, mostly walking, but sometimes on my bike – this is the best way for me to switch off and recharge my batteries.
